It seems to me that if there is a point... it's one worth making, one that means something peculiar to that country. That's not the same as "exceptionalism".
The danger with this dismissal of a national perspective on how the state fits in with "the nation" is that is leads to globalism, which is always a back door to global elites behind the internationalist and Trotskyite rhetoric.
