"The speed of the knee-jerk response of NATO countries in expelling Russian diplomats, without any debate or demand for evidence in any parliament, raises the suspicion that this was planned not by MI6 alone but jointly with the CIA and other NATO secret services, which largely control supposedly democratic governments." Putin's involvement with Trump has been interesting., Trump has been forced to play a double-game (very transparently so at times), and I just don't buy the narrative that their entanglements can be easily dismissed, to do so is to ignore the data manipulation and downright illegal funding issues concerned with (esp.) Brexit. There are any number of reasons why revelations by Skripal might be embarrassing to one faction or another within the Deep State, what I do tend to believe is that on this occasion it may well not have been Putin who pulled-the-trigger. Over recent years an ever increasing number of commentators have observed that the secret services within the major "monetarised" states are becoming more factionalised than ever before, this is clearly the case.
