unfortunately no-one particularly highlighted his politics; he was popular for his work on getting the hacking scandal out in the open. JC did not appoint Watson and does not have the power to sack Watson. More's the pity, imo. Where there is no vacancy to get a challenge to the Deputy's position you need to obtain the support of 20% of the PLP and EPLP prior to any annual conference and votes in the election are by one member one vote. cheers
