Let's be clear, this is mostly about a pro-Palestinian UK politician appearing to be in the vicinity of taking the reins of power* I somewhat disagree with the word "mostly", in that I think it's impossible to tell where that factor stops and the one relating to his other economic, social and political positions begins. That is, I would think he is loathed about equally by Zionists and the UK deep-state/economic elite, and since there is a huge overlap between these two categories, and both are working together and on their own to undermine his eligibility to become PM, it might be a mistake to single out one as more decisive. I suspect that if he was a dyed-in-the-wool, warmongering, imperialist neoliberal, but happened to have strong sympathies with the Palestinians and took positions against the occupation (a tough thought-experiment, I realize), there wouldn't be anything like the current near-ubiquitous hysteria. But I could be wrong.
