I'd agree - and let's not forget he's already succeeded in moving the overton window somewhat - anti-austerity and even nationalisation are popular policies across the board - even the tories are having to give slight socialist window dressing to their policies in response. While this can obviously snap back swiftly if some soft-left or blairite gets in to co-opt and neutralise it. It's the very popularity of those economic policies that necessitates the focus on AS and personal smears.
