What kind of juice (and with whom) does this bit part actor have? Prosecutors have agreed to drop criminal charges against the Empire actor Jussie Smollett for apparently faking a hate crime attack in Chicago, drawing claims from mayor Rahm Emanuel of a “whitewash of justice”. Presecutors are never known for being reluctant to push a case especially with what was reportedly a near to slam-dunk case. Emanuel and Johnson, the police superintendent, attacked in forceful terms the prosecutors’ decision. Emanuel said: “This is without a doubt a whitewash of justice, and sends a clear message that if you’re in a position of influence and power, you’ll get treated one way. And other people will get treated another way.” At a brief court hearing on Tuesday, a judge agreed to the prosecutors’ request to dismiss the charges, the Chicago Tribune reported, and ordered the case file sealed. Sealing it is the clearest indication that the whole thing stinks; can't have anyone seeing all the evidence. I still can't imagine who has the kind of jizz to make this happen. If he was proven to have been faking this, it would be a massive blow to the idpol crusaders when a gay, black man stages a hate attack supposedly to gain a better contract on his TV show. The only level of power I can see being in a position to bury this case with a snap of their fingers are the government (and they are unlikely to want to do it) or spooks.
