    Thanks for the Kurile island bit, at least I knew that. But Sakhalin, I found that surprising. I am sure you would know : ). It basically means Japan has lost some resource-rich prime territory there (Sakhalin) (oil etc.). Just looked it up on the map ... interesting.

    I read about this Andrei Martyanov before and was impressed with the description of his analysis (from his book). I wonder if the factual error originates with the writer of this article, Ron Ridenour, or Andrei?
