An apparently trivial but confusing technical difficulty in donating to Defend WikiLeaksArchived Message

I'm not the only person who has had this problem (and been tempted to jump to a mistaken conclusion because of it): https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2019/04/chelsea-and-julian-are-in-jail-history-trembles/comment-page-9/#comment-856161 gpcus April 16, 2019 at 15:36 "In an (un)expected new low Barclays\TSB rejected my payment to the Julian Assange support fund: Account number: 24345160 Sort code: 30-94-57 Does anyone else experienced the same? What is the best way to support this battle, for the little I can?"
As explained in my comments there (the first time I've commented on Craig's blog, incidentally), I had to make a donation via credit card instead. That went through all right (although not without some uncertainty at the time), but it appears on my credit card statement as a donation to the Courage Foundation:
Who We Support | Courage Foundation "In our first four years, Courage has scored some decisive victories, created the most comprehensive database of Snowden’s documents and made substantial contributions to public debates around whistleblower protection, online freedoms and citizens’ access to information. Courage has been there for our eight beneficiaries when they needed it most. We helped the Azerbaijani journalist and human rights worker Emin Huseynov escape to asylum and safety Switzerland amid a crackdown in Baku. We saved Lauri Love from a virtual death sentence in the United States, winning an important battle for UK encryption rights along the way. We’ve made sure that Edward Snowden’s revelations have a permanent impact by making every document published easily accessible, searchable by category, country, and keyword. We’ve funded commissaries and legal costs for our beneficiaries who are enduring abusive retaliation in prison. We’ve launched an open letter, signed by leading artists, academics and intellectuals around the world, calling on the US to end its grand jury investigation into WikiLeaks."
This is new to me - I'm as ignorant as ever, I'm afraid! - but it's evidently a good cause.
If I recall correctly (I'm not sure), the transaction record made no specific mention of WikiLeaks, or Assange. That didn't worry me very much at the time. It is worrying me a bit more now, after looking into this problem some more. (I was on the verge of giving up, but I'm giving this one last shot ... and finding that it only gets more complicated!)
There may well be a good reason for the lack of specificity: WikiLeaks - Enquiries and Contact "WikiLeaks has ongoing ligitation proceedings across many different jurisdictions, for example in relation to the arbitrary and unlawful financial blockade of WikiLeaks by financial services companies." (Presumably 'gpcus' at Craig's site was alluding to this.)
That is only a side-issue; but side-issues keep on raising themselves, and as a result, I've spent many hours on this problem, over a period of several days - still with no resolution. Yet it all seems as if it should be perfectly avoidable.
Because my Internet connection is unreliable, and because I'm getting tired (again), I'll post this part of my message now, and post the rest later, in this thread. Meanwhile, please refer to my comments on Craig's blog, which follow gpcus's comment above.
