BBC running scared of reporting Paris riotsArchived Message

I've just watched a long filmed report on RT of the riots in Paris, showing vehicles and shops on fire, clouds of smoke everywhere, and a massed charge by armoured riot police on the yellow vests.
I then did a search of the BBC news website. Nothing at all on the main news pages, so after searching through World and then Europe, the main French story is of an "elite" Paris school that trains future presidents, Notre Dame (obviously) and FINALLY a mention, 2 days old, 20 April, of the protests.
This directive to downplay, or hide away as best they can, this major story can only come from a very senior editorial position, imposed, indeed enforced, I venture to say, by political pressure. It's unbelievable that 5 months of continuous rioting in the capital city of a European country, leading now to fires in the streets and massed police charges, is given such low priority.
I also watched the BBC news channel. In the first half hour they covered the Sri Lankan massacre and the Ukraine election .... then went on to sport. Absolutely incredible they can be so blatant about ignoring this story.
