They adopt the 'chirpy' manner for a lot of things that are, in fact, deeply disturbing and frightening. I heard them say this morning, another 'chirpy' woman, that 'President Trump was now getting tough with Iran.' This implies that it's the US that's finally reacting to something Iran has done and has decided to do something. This is a gross distortion of what's actually happening.
