TATE MODERN'S CARBON CRIMINALITY I saw #ExtinctionRebellion are staging a Bike Bee Swarm today from Waterloo Bridge at 1pm to Tate Modern to highlight deaths of bees. https://www.facebook.com/events/427103148109425 So I thought I would look up Tate Modern's Corporate Sponsors Page.... And I found among their list of their top current and recent "corporate partnerships" some of the world's worst carbon criminals. They thus disastrously and unethically give social and political permission for climate genocide and ecocide. 1. BMW - giant car corporation which pours money into lobbying the EU to allow fossil fuel cars have higher CO2 emissions and which was up to its eyeballs in the dieselgate scandal in which they carried out mass industrial deceit in concealing levels of toxic and CO2 pollution coming from fossil fuelled cars. 2. Deutsche Bank - is the world's 14th largest funder of fossil fuels globally. Among ten highest coal investors and 2nd highest investor in Arctic drillling. 3. Qantas - massive airline promoting some of the world's most climate damaging flights. One flight from London to Sydney emits 6 tons of CO2, which is equivalent of 7.5 years emissions from UK home electricity... ! 4. BP - one of the world's biggest oil corporations. The Climate Media Coalition (CMC) calls for an end to all high-carbon promoting media and this includes advertising and sponsorships. In fairness I should note that their solar panels were sponsored by Solarcentury. Tate Modern should declare a climate emergency and cease all sponsorship from corporations that acerbate climate genocide and ecocide.
