because back at the start of the war on Syria I used to argue the case for Assad against some opposition, and despite the Eds' alerts, on the Houla massacre for instance, they were never prepared to support Assad. They were more in line with STW, whose stand was against UK intervention, rather than against the UK's terrorist armies and the opposition media propaganda. They also would never abandon Chomsky, who became the symbol of this median viewpoint. I would never accept the argument - "but you must admit that Assad has committed crimes" - because I don't, as whatever "Assad" did was forgiveable as defensive, and so not even worthy of consideration in the face of such bastardry and criminality inflicted by our countries.
