Mindfulness is the 'Who Moved My Cheese' de jour. Shelf-life as current popular bourgeois fad? Archived Message

Like 'WMMC?' I suppose: a year or so. The bourgeois intelligentsia contingent of the Pampered Twenty Percent have to have new attention-deflector fads in a regular trickle, as the old ones lose their novelty-satisfaction value, and get dumped. BTW real mindfulness practice, as distinct from MindfulnessTM, has been around for millennia, and is a valid and greatly valuable meditative practice. But, like homegrown cannabis plants, it can't be turned into a capitalist earner and viral internet sensation, not if you want to keep its efficacy.
