NOM" What's so terrible now, compared to when I was growing up, is that today there are no spaces at all for critics or dissidents to speak the truth and let people know what's really going on, within the mainstream/corporate media. I remember when John Piliger had a regular audience of millions for his work in the Daily Mirror, the biggest selling paper in the Western world. Now he's a completely marginalised figure who's been banished to an internal 'Siberia.' Now he has real trouble financing his multiple award winning documentaries. That alone shows how much things have changed for the worst. Today defenders of Julian Assange have incredible difficulty accessing the mainstream media to present the facts to the public. The Guardian which once was seen to represent critical journalism with a leftist slant, on occasion; is now one of the worst offenders against the truth and swallows titbits handed to it from the security services, unquestioningly, gratefully and licks its greasy lips and begs for more. How, ####ing disgraceful is that? And at the same time as they peddle state propaganda, tweeked for an educated middle class audience, they don't dare give space to anyone who might burst their great bubble full of reeking gas and reveal the Guardian for what it really is. And all the while its tame 'lefties' remain dumb and silent, picking up their stinking checks whilst studiously ignoring the vile odour of rank hypocrisy hanging like a yellow cloud around the Guardian. The fact that we've moved over the years, from a kind of liberal state, to a kind of totalitarian one, where the few islands of truth have been all but submerged in a sea of filth and ghastly entertainment, is completely ignored within the mainstream. Our dissidents aren't silenced by violence, not yet, but silenced by being systematically ignored and banished and smothered by soft liberal credulity.
