Why do voluunteer writers prove more able to handle analytics than salaried journalists? Archived Message

Media soft power plays a massive part in the collective dumbing-down of the intelligent, reading middle-classes. That volunteer writers (eg Nina Cross, Cait Jonstone) compile better analytical articles on this case than the salaried journalists from the world's "best liberal newspaper" The Guardian, speaks volumes. In yesterday's Twitter exchange between top profile Guardian journalists and independent analysts, the appallingly shallow understanding of the former was laid bare. And from a woman's p.o.v., the self-described feminist journalists (Moore, Hyde, Freeman et al) do women no favour when they bolster stereotypes of airheads (dictionary: silly, foolish women) when their ripostes reveal they've not familiar with any substantial legal assessment of the Assange case. Their ill-informed snark reflects badly on the standards of their newspaper. ---- - - - - - 100+ potential defamatory statements about Assange LIST https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2019/01/140-things-wikileaks-says-reporters-cant-say-about-assange/
