Extradition hearing to be held at Belmarsh Prison Court next week Archived Message

The first substantive US extradition hearing is scheduled for June 14, at Belmarsh Magistrate Court. Originally scheduled for June 12, only two extra days given to take account of Assange's poor health?

Given J.A's shaky health which left him verbally incoherent to the extent his legal counsel (Samuelsson) raised alarm, what preparation has he been able to make with his legal team, for this important hearing?

Nils Melzer specifically noted in his report that the fact J.A. faces a complicated lawsuit from a state player means that he requires (in terms of human rights) additional access to legal assistance.
    From the UN Report:
"[Melzer] reminded the UK of its obligation to ensure Assange’s unimpeded access to legal counsel, documentation
and adequate preparation commensurate with the complexity of the pending proceedings."
