Johnson has a kind of brutish charm, but he's also regarded as a 'loose cannon' by much of the media and by substantial numbers of Tory MPs. Johnson has a talent for narrative and story-telling, which is often scarcely linked to the truth or facts, if these get in the way of the story. In an elecion campaign thise could prove disasterous when every word is scrutinised. Corbyn, in contrast, though very 'dull', could appear more 'steady' and 'stateman-like' a 'safe pair of hands' compared to the 'mercurial' Johnson. Of course, we could be moving towards the total meltdown of the entire political landscape, where powerful forces are working towards the break-up of the old political parties and the creation of a big, new one in the middle-ground, the Liberals joined by lots of Labour MPs and big chunk of the Tory MPs too. If the Brexit fantasy goes terribly wrong and there's an election, with Labour and the Tories disintegrating; anything could happen.
