away with it, in service of their real constituency: the richest 10%; more exactly, the richest 1%; the people who pay their bribes. The special interests of that minority of creeps, plus the maintenance of the current delusional propaganda narratives-de-jour raging through the Swamp, whatever they happen to be, are what motivates the pocket-pols of US imperial politics: Human rubber stamps, as laughably irrelevant as the Roman Senate during the rule of the emperors. Anyone who steps out of line even slightly, such as Sanders or Gabbard will first have their public image trashed whilst they're getting steered into line (Trump), or onto the permanent political sidelines of media-blackout (Nader, McKinney, Stein and where I fear Gabbard will be pushed); and if that doesn't work they'll be literally murdered (Kennedy x 2).
