Raimondo's politics were, in many respects, as he often said, to the right of Atilla the Hun on many issues. Not that that means very much in a post-politics era! I think he identified war as the single worst thing about American society and history. Something that warped and destroyed so much for so little real gain, unless one was an arms manufacturer! He was both brave and interesting and annoyed the traditional left and right in equal measure, which was no bad thing. |
