What's come to light is the thinking of some human rights lawyers: disturbing to see how much misinformation even savvy lawyers absorb and unwittingly, irresponsibly spread about. Fact is, Assange did *not* flee Sweden ... and Ecuador acted in bad faith ... By this logic (for example) why oppressed women flee Saudi Arabia is for Saudis to judge? eg: April 11: Human Rights lawyer: "Why Assange fled Sweden is for Sweden to parse; what Assange did with his time in the Ecuadorian embassy is for Ecuador to judge (and it did); for a matter for law, Assange-the-person and Assange-the-publisher should be separated"
