Thanks for the recommendation.
I did read in your previous post that you said "our state". Not sure why you thought I thought you were insensate. So I think you misunderstood me misunderstanding you So easy for this to occur when in a text-based conversation rather than face to face, and able to interpret tone of voice etc.
"...physical laws of the universe can only be avoided and the self kept in denial for so long. The rub is that without those who are literally coming to their senses aiding others (part of the process..inherent egalitarianism), the paradigm shift and ignition of the Noosphere (as Teilhard would have it), will not occur and we will not evolve beyond politics..."
I generally agree with you, though unsure in what respect you are applying the term "inherent egalitariansim". While I believe people should be treated with equal respect and attempt to provide equal opportunities, to circumvent privilege where possible, power-law distrubution would illustrate that we are not all equal in abilities and aptitude, that there exists a "long tail" effect, headed by a small group of hyper-achievers - even though I admit that is an unpleasant term. If we try to level everything out to be "fair", we risk flattening everyone to the lowest point, because we can't do the opposite. Nature isn't fair. But I don't mean that to preclude us being decent, respectful and generous to others, and try to help one another.
I do believe we have reached a point where we must evolve beyond government. I believe technology could have some part in all of us going a long way to making govt redundant in the not too distant future.
"...but we do not truly rule or govern ourselves...we are still, "nascent" in this sense..."
