That including, of course, all those who propose it and attempt it. No need for it, though. It would be unlikely to speed up any alleviations to our planetary plight. And Mam Gaia has her own, much more effective, cull already in hand, and scheduled to get a lot more widespread in the next few decades. Makes much more sense to encourage the spread of forests everywhere, and at the same time to promote a quite different set of attitudes towards our home planet, and towards each other and all the rest of the life-web. Call it a new Gaian religion, with respect for, nurturing of, and loving cooperation with all life as its core tenets. After the next few decades have beaten a good deal of the multi-stranded delusional shite out of us, into some sort of sober sanity, more of us might be seriously open to such ideas... |
