Sixty three per cent of UK Jews voted Tory in 2017. Labour had lost the Jews according to Yougov, even more decisively than it has lost the skilled manual workers. How exactly Jews were defined here, I don’t know. Asked to explain why London Jews went Tory in 2008 Ken Livingstone pointed to a prospering outer London demographic. The AS police were already pouncing on him for promoting an anti-Semitic trope (all Jews are rich). But according to Jo Coburn Jewish voters were already tending towards Tory even before Ken Livingstone. Many third generation Jewish immigrants feel, as everyone should, a sense of shame in voting Tory. Pointing to the AS scare may give them back a bit of self respect.

According to Yougov 34 per cent of the general public said yes when asked if Jeremy Corbyn is personally anti-Semitic. That is about the same proportion as votes Tory. 34 per cent would say that wouldn’t they. The “Jewish Community” is largely a tory-voting community. But more than Eighty percent of UK Jews, according to one poll, believe Labour is institutionaly Anti-Semitic. That number might come down if The MSM constantly dealt in the facts. But many would still claim feelings of “hurt and anger” against anyone insensitive enough to present them with those facts.

According to EVOLVE 5july18 a ComRes poll conducted for the Jewish News also shows that the general public marginally believe that claims of antisemitism in Britain are being exaggerated. When asked, the poll showed that 26% of respondents agreed with the statement that claims of increased antisemitism in Britain are being “exaggerated”, whilst 25% of respondents disagree Presumably the other 49 per cent don’t know, even though the evidence-free madness Labour=AS is totally endorsed and unchallenged in the Mainstream. What would all those dontknowers say if only one, just one, Mainstream pundit were to challenge the madness with a simple and rather long list of verifiable facts, plus a cogent definition? None will ever do so. The chief villain of the piece here is Andrew Marr, the UK’s leading anti-intellectual. No mainstream pundit as far as I can find has dared to defend Chris Williamson. Chomsky’s intervention, endorsing what many lesser names had already said, has caused CW's left detractors to backtrack on accusation of AS, but Chomsky does not reach the general public.

So the right have no need for a cogent definition. They have no need for evidence. Hajo Meyer once said “an anti-Semite used to be someone who dislikes Jews” Now an anti-Semite is by definition anyone whom the Jewish Labour Movement dislikes = anyone who has caused the Labour Friends of Israel to claim feelings of “hurt and anger”.

This is what worrying about the human rights commission. Its brief is to investigate the harassment of Jews within and by Labour Party members. That is very bad. Its brief ought to be to investigate the harassment Jews because they are Jews. Who knows what this reactionary body will count as evidence? “Its cos I is Jewish” that members would like to deselect me, Dame Hodge will say, no doubt pointing to a mass of vile anti Jewish tweets from non-members. What other motive could there be?

And of course lots of members who would dearly like to deselect this disreputable harridan on her own merits will actually hold back from calling for her deselection. They hold back because she is Jewish.
