It reminds me of another casual slur slipped in the other night by Brillo Pad Neil when he interviewed Johnson. When Johnson was bullshitting and dodging a question about his lack of support for Darroch because a potential leader cannot be seen to be apologising and weak etc. when there are dangerous states in the world, like Iran. Neil, to stop Johnson prevaricating and going on about Iran, casually tells Johnson and therefore the audience "We all know that the Iranians are the bad guys". Again, the assumption being that we all know and agree with this.
