I had the misfortune to hear Alastair Campbell on LBC this morning, being encouraged by James O'Brien to hold forth about Jeremy Corbyn. His criticisms were well worn, petty and vile. The central message was that he will never return to the Labour party. Good news and good riddance. When I returned to the room where the radio was on, about 20 minutes later, he was still at it. He was moving on to the equally execrable Emma Barnett on Radio 5 Live having been on the BBC Breakfast programme on the News Channel and with the blabbermouth Ms Hartley Brewer on Talk Radio.
