Originally I missed this presentation. Although the video has not been set up all that well, it is still very interesting from the engineering perspective.
The simulation collapse model as developed by AU replicates the actual collapse far more accurately than the NIST model did. Repeat ... by far.
NIST had modelled several structural details incorrectly. Connections and such. When these are corrected the simulated building collapse is to side and not straight down as NIST portrays.
I couldn't watch it all the way through, so may have missed more information on the simultaneous collapse of all columns which is something I was interested in.
