Yes you are right Ed. Sorry about that. Gaddafi was killed by a mob who inserted a bayonet into his rectum. Horrific. Not a saint by any means but: 'The cause of the catastrophe in Libya in Libya was the seven month US-NATO blitzkrieg from March to October 2011 in which thousands of bombs and rockets smashed down on that unfortunate land which was governed by President Muammar Ghaddafi whom the West was determined to overthrow by assisting a rebel movement. In Ghaddafi’s Libya, as detailed by the World Health Organization, the government provided “comprehensive health care including promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to all citizens free of charge through primary health care units, health centers and district hospitals.” Life expectancy was 75 years (as against 66 in India; 71 in Egypt; 59 in South Africa), and the CIA World Factbook noted that there was a literacy rate of 94.2% which was higher than in Malaysia, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.' https://www.counterpunch.org/2019/02/15/in-libya-we-came-we-saw-he-died-now-maduro/ Did you know that Alistair Burt, the Tory worm (and one time CFoI officer) recently residing at the FCO as MENA minister, recommended the same means of death for President Assad? 'Burt insisted the British government "knew exactly what would happen if there was not a strike against Assad over chemical weapons. He goes on. And the only thing that would deflect this man and this regime is if they fear they are going to end up in a storm drain with a bayonet up their backside. If they don't fear that, they will go on killing as many people as they need to stay in power."' https://www.dumptheguardian.com/politics/2013/dec/30/alistair-burt-anger-syria-westminster
