A typical Freedland piece. The obvious solution to the scenario he proposes would be, as Craig Murray points out, for the Queen to invite the leader of the opposition, who clearly has more support in Parliament on the issue than Boris, to replace a failed PM. However, that opposition is leader, so rather than using his media platform to put the pressure on for this, he uses it to rule out the option as unthinkable. That someone who has used lies and smears to undermine an oppostion leader who has the best chance to stand up to Corbyn should write that last paragraph and bewail what's happenining to our demoracy is taking the biscuit.
