Great read, as ever. I do have a slight issue though. In (rightly) highlighting the disparity between the one-off Monbiot tweet calling for the overthrow of capitalism, and the rest of his mainly comfortable output, I couldn't help but think of the Dave's recent refusal to entertain the work of Corey Morningstar regarding Extinction Rebellion. Is their unwillingness to even be vaguely suspicious (which is how it appeared to me) of XR's potential corporate entanglements not a similar predicament? Providing Monbiot's singular radical espousal is genuine, and - I think it's safe to say - the Dave's appreciation of what it will take to save the planet, both parties know that ONLY the overthrow of capitalism will suffice. But neither will uphold the radicalism they both know is necessary. (I do of course fully recognise the massive gulf of integrity between Monbiot and ML).
