    If Boris wanted to be really dirty, he could offer the SNP indyref2 in exchange for a VoNC.

    It's no doubt crossed Boris' mind. The SNP after all owes nothing to Labour who have already said they will obstruct a section 30 and of course its Scottish accounting unit would rather people voted Tory here than SNP... but peoples memories aren't short up north on the blame game following votes of no confidence: especially that particular one taken after Callaghan's Labour Gerrymandered the 1979 vote for a devolved parliament and when the chickens came home to roost for Lucky Jim's government: it was laid at the SNP door for many years after.

    Times have changed but you perhaps underestimate the hatred for the Tories that is an ever constant here. I expect the SNP would refuse to cooperate with the Tories on principle even when asking for a vote of no confidence against themselves...
