I agree about the necessity of ditching the capitalist system if the worst of the climate & ecological crises is to be avoided. Further I'd argue that the whole civilisational, even agrarian system needs to go if we're ever to return to sustainable lifeways, but I'll settle for capitalism in my lifetime Fwiw I've seen lots of banners and general agreement with the slogan 'system change, not climate change' at xr and climate strike events. Unfortunately the banners were provided by the SWP... In any case, while it's dangerous to read too much into slogans, it could be interpreted as a broad appetite for exactly these kinds of fundamental changes.
