Chinese Propaganda - Wolf Warrior | Renegade Cut Archived Message Posted by Sinister Burt on October 4, 2019, 4:36 pm Maybe a little bit off-topic: I found this quite interesting - a video about chinese propaganda and a specific action film wolf warrior - pretty much the same as american action films, but with chinese as the heroes, white people as the baddies, and africans as the ever so grateful friends to be saved by benevolent china. He starts with a disclaimer about not being anti-china and saying he also criticises american propaganda (i've watched quite a few of his videos, and he does) - i don;t think we should avoid criticising china doing the same shitty propaganda as us, just because we're even worse/better at it - as long as we're careful that it's not used to diminish our own actions - with the proper context (which i'd assume in these refined circles) i do think it can help to see propaganda from the outside when looking back at our own.
