The traditional self-perpetuating gic-class in England will always seek to pull Britain in whatever direction they see as the profit-generator of the future, at the same time unemotionally dumping the past rackets which have ceased to deliver enough loot. They've been doing it for generations: Britain, or more specifically the English-raj class acting through their racket-haven rogue-statelet in the City, as looting pirates against the entire world.
