Now that the Labour conference has voted for a referendum between a Labour deal and remain I see no Archived Message

way for Labour to win. They will have refused to execute the will of the majority without showing that there were sound grounds on which to deny that result. If they could discover the rationale behind the 27% non-voters to be pro status quo then this would be valid, but how can that be done - impossible. If they could show that leave actions and statements were more fraudulent than remain then there could be grounds for denying the result - but again after 3 years little has been done to show that. So we are left with this cock-eyed policy which denies the majority their win - no way will Labour live that down - the only hope is that JC can rescue the 2019 manifesto from committing this fundamental error. All was fine on the basis that Labour was fighting a no-deal brexit. Once that disappears then JC should revert to a soft brexit policy by going for a special policy review of brexit before agreeing to an early election. Overall JC would be better off pushing for a soft Brexit without a remain option referendum and allowing Johnson to take us out on any deal agreeable to the EU but then leaving Bojit in charge for the full 5 years with his minority government. This would kill off the Brexit party and the Liberal party and the economic results would kill off the Tory party probably for good! The only reason Labour is in this position is because most mps don't want JC in No.10 and so have pushed a policy which they know will kill his chances even if it also kills the labour party! - at the moment it all seems a little bit depressing. still mustn't grumble, cheers
