| just now. I hope she will have the sense to do what Ben Zephaniah did when offered an OBE. "I thought: me? An OBE? Up yours, I thought." I'll take a small bet that she won't have the same maturity as Ben, to see what's being tried on and say no as he did, though. She'll rise in my estimation a lot further if she does, pointing out that it's been thoroughly devalued by being given to Western war-criminals. That would be a serious earnest of her wisdom and credibility. |
