on November 20th. The long-running Rodney Reed case looks increasingly likely to end in the wrongful execution of Rodney Reed. The prosecutors don't want to do anything ridiculous like allow DNA testing of the murder weapon or any other leftish tricks to prove they are going to kill an innocent man.
Rodney Reed's case has been the subject of some media attention but not much given how glaring the evidence for his innocence is. The problem he has is that the likely murderer was a cop, the fiancee of the murder victim. Reed (black) was having an affair with Stacey Stites (white) who was engaged to the local cop (white). I say was a cop because he got sent down for twelves years or something for sexually assaulting a woman who called the police for help during a domestic assault and then threatened to kill her if she told anyone.
I've followed this case for years and there is too much evidence to put down in a post. This is a good video giving most of the important details:

Here's another article on Reed which does a decent job of covering the case, incredibly rare for the U.S. media.
It looks like his last hopes are going to rest on the governor and that's no hope at all given his record. This would be yet another disgusting miscarriage of justice by the sick state of Texas and at LEAST the third, CLEARLY innocent person executed in that state, after Cameron Todd Willingham and Carlos DeLuna.
