RNZ National News, 6 a.m., Wednesday 16 Oct. 2019
In the first item, the newsreader Catriona McLeod intones: "Mass raids have targeted the Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny. He is charged with corruption, although in Russia police action is often used to quell political dissent."
This is followed by a brief "report" in minatory tone by "Ross Cullen in Moscow".
