Ah the great Gordon Brown... Made local authorities pay ruinous rates of usury to private companies and then went on to hand trillions of government money free to ummm...private companies at no interest at all. Its almost as if the role of the state was really to enrich private companies at the taxpayers expense: something perhaps so true that no politician will admit it.
