I remember vividly the shock that Juan Carlos did not continue the Francoist legacy, but instead started to dismantle it and introduce some democracy. Margolis's statement that these actions were Franco's intent is unfortunately a calculated lie. Franco skipped over Juan Carlos's father as Franco's successor over fears he would do exactly this.
