I see she's steel toe-capping the police boot for the persecution of that traditional scapegoat: the "travellers".
Rich considering the whole tradition of such peoples began with the earliest Indian migrants to the UK: the Rom. Priti's own family? Indian "travellers" who went to Uganda until Idi Amin decided to persecute them likewise.
Of course this law won't be used to move on a few troublesome customers but for the widespread oppression of anyone who has no permanent fixed address, including the exponentially increasing numbers of people living in vans in the UK, caused by the artificial shortage of homes, the huge cost of private rents, and austerity: i.e government policy.
Its interesting that Bristol has announced to great green cheers that its banning diesel vehicles. Ostensibly that looks to be a good move, but alas, on closer inspection it turns out that its only private diesel vehicles that are being banned.
So what really is the point of this we might ask? Well Bristol just happens to be one of the places in the UK with a large and increasing number of people unable to afford rents who live in vans. The vast majority of those (private) vans are of course diesel.
