I copied the following btl comment from the Independent:
James Le Mesurier was the top student in his year at Sandhurst, he was sent to Northern Ireland where he did ’undercover’ work, and won The Queen’s Medal. He then went into deep black ops whilst his public persona was classed as retired from the military. He created the Islamist Propaganda Unit known as The White Helmets who staged chemical attacks and bombings in order to get western governments to intervene on the Islamist side fighting the legitimate Syrian government forces in Syria. I’m sure he will be a great loss to the UK military.
P.S. Of course he was a spy!
[This final PS is an ironic reference to the article which reported the Russians had called him a MI6 spy. Odd "coincidence" -- only last Friday the Russians held a press conference where this claim of being a spy was made -- and 3 days later he's dead.]
