On the subject of which --

I caught the last 5 minutes of Kirsty Wark interviewing somebody last night on Newsnight who has published a book on political culture (didn't catch his name or the title of the book) and it was hilarious when he started to answer a question in terms that seemed highly critical of the status quo and in favour of (I think) the unions. Boy, did she dive in quick! He'd barely got the words out of his mouth before Kirsty cut across him and quickly changed the subject.

The thing is, with the BBC nowadays, the bias is so BLATANT it sort of takes your breath away. There is no attempt to disguise it or dress it up; they are so fearful that anything approaching an honest opinion or a radical view might slip through the net that they stamp on it in an instant. Wark is a particular proponent of this, and with her slurry sliding speech cuts off the interviewee whenever the topic is veering off acceptable proscribed limits.
