UN Rapporteur Nis Melzer's official letters to UK and US (with which they're obliged to engage according to international covenants they signed) have remained unanswered, essentially. Hollowing out the institutions which you use as rods to beat the rest of the world is a short-sighted game.
Meanwhile, two other letters that have gone out:
Two letters, one signed by 60 intellectuals and the other by 60 doctors
[1] Letter to Archbishop of Canterbury asking him to intercede for liberation of Assange, signed by many intellectuals, including Noam Chomsky, Oliver Stone, Jan Oberg, Francis Boyle, Norman Finkelstein
