ALl they had to do was get out the handcuffs, and the whole thing would have ended and life back to normal - was that what they wanted? Evidently not! I believe that the police would have known exactly who they were going for, because he would have had to have police permission just to be there in this very public place; he had an electronic tag for God's sake, as if a mobile wasn't enough! Interested in your thoughts! But of course Manchester didn't play out quite as May would have liked, and perhaps this won't either, thanks to the unexpected tweet from the victim's father.
