While I agree that it's a stupid and pointless outrage, it's still disappointing corbyn was caught out in a politicians lie. Not that he was caught, but that he did it in the first place. Why lie? I don't get it, and there isn't a good defense for it. No, I don't watch it, I prefer to spend my day with my family, not glued to a tv screen. That would have been a sensible response and one not even the bloody queen would argue. If I caught a person I knew lying in such a pointless way to run with the crowd, I'd revise my opinion of that individual . Obviously that's what corbyns opposition are banking on, but it shows to me that in the quest to avoid 'difficult' or unpopular questions he jumps to a lie to keep from rockin the boat. Surely that's a problem on its own merit? Don't we have a field day when a Tory does that? Two sides here of course, just presenting the flip side since no one else did.
