Watched Susanna Reid interview Angela Rayner today, firstly on schools, then on the NHS, and then on the Queen's speech. I doubt anyone here relies on GMB for news. Even so, it's instructive to watch, if only because despite knowing the establishment and its footsoldiers are throwing everything they can at Corbyn, the resulting spectacle is ludicrous to the point where it becomes almost comical.

No need to go into forensic detail on this horsesh*t facade of objective journalism. At one point, Susanna demands to know why Angela is still insisting that the Tories plan to sell off the NHS, "when most people believe the document put forward as evidence by Corbyn had been comprehensively debunked" - which is news to me. Not sure who debunked it, or when. This didn't stop her from essentially stating her claim as fact. Susanna adds, Trump has made it clear that he doesn't plan to raid the NHS, and "Dead in a Ditch" Johnson has made a promise to the electorate that the NHS is not for sale, so how dare Labour suggest that both veteran bullsh*tters might actually be bullsh*tting. The idea that this might not have crossed Susanna's mind is of course ridiculous - she knows perfectly well that both men are full of sh*t. How she manages to keep a straight face while wheeling out Tory propaganda is remarkable.

But what follows next is perhaps the most appalling inversion of truth that I've seen in this pitiful election campaign. Susanna actually suggests that it's Corbyn who is the established liar, and since he lied about watching the Queen's speech, should we "believe [Corbyn] when he says the NHS will never be up for sale" (!).

Let's get this straight. Apparently, the inference being made is that since Corbyn apparently does not watch the Queen's speech, most likely it's him and not Dead-in-a-Ditch who will sell off the NHS?! So not watching the Queen's speech is basically a gateway crime that inevitably leads to the desecration of the NHS? That's like saying those who defy a hosepipe ban today will be tomorrow's Gary Glitters.

Astounding stuff. Well done to Angela Rayner, who handled it with remarkable patience, and a straight face.
