During the so-called "debate" I felt just the same as you, Ed, in thinking, Yes, let's get Johnson in (AND STOP CALLING HIM BORIS, ED!!) to find out what an almighty shit-show he'll make of this country -- it'll make the present situation seem like the garden of Eden -- and let's then see the poor deluded working-class fools who voted for him reaping what they sowed and how they like it. Unfortunately the rest of us will have to suffer along with them.
As for Corbyn's performance, he never seems to quite hit the mark. You can see him building up to it but then he doesn't deliver and falls back on the usual boiler-plate cliches (true though they may be). He's just too polite and nice and doesn't like slagging people off -- when that's exactly what he should be doing with twats like Johnson. I wish Jonathan Pie (minus the swearing) had inhabited Corbyn during the "debate" flung the truth in his face. Sadly it's not in JC's nature.
