It seems to me that the whole election debate around the NHS is wrongheaded; not surprisingly perhaps. Of course the Tories won't sell off the NHS - it's a fantastic, never-ending redirection of funds from public to private. No, the issue isn't whether or not they will sell it off, nor whether enough funds are being chucked in, but rather, whether those funds end up in frontline services where they are needed, how they get there, how much (mis)management there is along the way and, increasingly, how much of it ends up in private hands.
