Read from bottom, all his shining examples of 'resistance' come from graun articles and his own ted talk. Don't think I agree with his 'no recriminations' stance at this point. For one thing the graun should be held accountable for its relentess smearing of Corbyn... I ***** https://twitter.com/GeorgeMonbiot I know there'll be plenty I've left off this list: I'm tired and frayed, as I guess we all are. Please add to it. No one person should attempt all these things. We will divide up the tasks, but always in the knowledge that we're working together. Love and courage to you all. 100 replies 201 retweets 2,100 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We will defend our public services - especially the NHS - from attempts to degrade or destroy them, and support, as well as we are able, the overworked heroes who keep them afloat. 19 replies 227 retweets 1,571 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We find each other and ourselves through volunteering, which is a. the best defence against loneliness and alienation b. provides support to the people this government will abandon, and c. defends and rebuilds the living world. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2018/feb/07/robots-jobs-salaried-work-society-unpaid-george-monbiot …. 14 replies 223 retweets 1,323 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We create, to the greatest extent possible, a Resistance Economy. This means local cooperative networks of mutual support, that circulate social and material wealth within the community. Here's an example: 23 replies 294 retweets 1,441 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We work together to craft the *story* of change: the great missing element in our politics. This is not the same as policies, principles or values (which of course we also need). The story is the vehicle that carries them. I explain this here: 14 replies 205 retweets 1,269 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We build mass resistance, drawing inspiration from - and building on - highly effective new movements, such as the youth climate strikes. We draw strength from the movements in other nations, and support them in turn. 19 replies 192 retweets 1,431 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We expose every lie, every trick this government will play, using social media to the max. We use every available tool to investigate its financial relationships, interests and strategies. We sue and prosecute malfeasance as effectively as we can. 32 replies 265 retweets 1,771 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago We start an open, non-partisan discussion about the movements and politics we need, to wrest this wonderful country back from the wreckers who are now in charge. No in-fighting, no recriminations, maximum solidarity, minimum jockeying. 44 replies 244 retweets 1,934 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 6h6 hours ago OK, so this is what we're going to do. We double down on support/giving networks for the people this government is going to dump on. It won't make up for the failures of the state, but we'll do our best. We support each other with love and strength through the dark times Thread/ 328 replies 3,724 retweets 11,787 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 13h13 hours ago No recriminations. Solidarity, strength, strategy and resolve. We'll find a way through it, however hard it might be and however long it takes, and we will make this the beautiful country it ought to be. And in the meantime we will ####ing well look after each other. 174 replies 777 retweets 3,640 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 14h14 hours ago We have each other. No one needs to face this setback alone. We are the resistance now. 327 replies 1,301 retweets 7,019 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 15h15 hours ago Together we will build something new. Not tomorrow, or the next day, but over the coming years. The cheats and liars are in control now. But not for ever. 110 replies 487 retweets 2,553 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 15h15 hours ago Exit polls are generally accurate these days. We're taking a plunge into something very grim here folks. Be strong. We'll find a way through, though it will take time. 208 replies 1,110 retweets 6,993 likes Show this thread George Monbiot @GeorgeMonbiot 15h15 hours ago This is dark. But I'm beginning to get the feeling that something very interesting is in the air. (Disclaimer: The value of gut feelings can fall as well as rise)
