The Yorkshire Post falls into the usual trap Archived Message

Spin, conjecture and downright deceit have dominated the narrative of this campaign, leaving millions of voters confused, disillusioned and angry. Yes, this is true -- yet what they DON'T say is that this "downright deceit" was largely orchestrated and disseminated by the tories and the lib dems. They lump together ALL politicians as responsible which hides the fact that Labour is least to blame for it and has tried, for the most part, to conduct an honourable campaign. So the Yorkshire Post itself is guilty of misleading its readers by omission. This was a tactic I noticed time and again on TV debate and panel shows during the election. A right-wing journalist or a BBC hack would bemoan the fact that lies were being told and the public were being duped -- not by proven liar Johnson and his duplicitous media advisors -- but by POLITICIANS. You get the picture, folks, they're all as bad as one another. Yes, Johnson and the tories might be at it, but so too are all the others (thus excusing their man by lumping the good with the liars). It always works.
